Revenue Collection Explained

How we check our information

Every charge, rule and date comes from a source we opened and link on the page. We use laws, gazettes, official fee schedules and government pages first. Then audit, court, parliamentary and international body documents. Then company statements, labelled as such. Then established news outlets with named reporters.

Each page shows the date we last checked it. When two reliable sources disagree, we show both with their dates. When we cannot confirm something, we leave it out.

We label every system and charge as in force, proposed, announced, a pilot, suspended or historical, with the date of the source. Official findings are reported with any official response.

Corrections are made on the page and the check date is updated. Email hello@revenuecollectionexplained.org with a link to the source.
